Dr. Laymithuna Ngy

Currently serving as Rector of the University of Kratie and an Advisor to Cambodia's Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation, Dr. Ngy plays a pivotal role in shaping the nation's industrial and technological advancement. His distinguished career bridges academia and policymaking, with leadership roles including membership in Cambodia's Rector Council since 2016 and previous governance positions at the Royal University of Agriculture. An internationally educated scholar (Nagasaki University, Japan), Dr. Laymithuna has directed cross-border development initiatives since 2008, driving socio-economic and environmental progress in Cambodia and neighboring ASEAN nations. His scholarly contributions span critical development sectors, with multiple publications in peer- reviewed international journals. The Royal Government of Cambodia has recognized his service with the Moha Sena Medal (2015) and Bronze Medal (2010), complementing earlier international recognition from Nagasaki. His work continues influencing Cambodia's transition toward a knowledge-based economy through science, technology and institutional leadership.
